Heavy design load expectations, stringent serviceability, hanging platforms, etc. were some of the main requirements for the project. The project was planned effectively with architectural elevations to differentiate it from traditional depot building looks. Kirby’s specialization in fabrication of curved rafters has made dream come reality to have structures matching the elevations proposed in the drawings. Member sizes and tapers were designed to suit structural requirements along with aesthetic appearances. Member positioning were executed with maximum accuracy to align all members within designated tolerances limits. The project is a contribution of Kirby to the society by adhering / committing ourselves for the project requirements and not compromising for quality issues. As per Mr. N P Sharma (Chief Engineer - BMRCL), Kirby has worked beyond BMRCL expectations. The stabling shed is a monument structure in PEB industry.
Kirby Building Systems has leveraged its experience in executing the Delhi Metro project in finalizing design specifications, project execution and cost estimation.
The project was completed within budget. Kirby initiated special cost saving projects to reduce under production supply costs. Productivity improvement was achieved through Lean Six Sigma methodology in reducing project cost.
Buildings have been completed within contracted time as per civil fronts available. The site had loose back-filled soil and no proper approach roads. In addition, the monsoon period was lost without any activity at site. Cranes were stuck and faced idle time. The customer decided to wait for better climate conditions and offered revised target dates.
The Honorable Chief Minister of Karnataka, Shri SadanandGowda, dedicated this prestigious project to the nation in the presence of senior political dignitaries on 20 October 2011.
